Ingredients
Chicken-750 gms
Yougurt-1 cup
Kasuri methi-2 tbsp
onion-3 medium
Ginger-2 inch piece
Garlic paste-2 tablespoons
Green chilli-3
Fresh coriander leaves-few
Coriander powder-1 tsp
Oil-2 tablespoons
Bay leaves-2 leaves
Green cardamom-4
Black cardamom-2
Cloves-3
Cinnamon-1 inch stick
Black peppercorns-few
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Method
Clean and wash chicken to desired pieces .chop onions and keep them aside
Heat oil in a pan. Add bay leaves, green cardamoms, black cardamoms, cloves, cinnamon and peppercorns. Sauté until cardamoms start to crackle.
Add onions and cook until translucent and soft then add ginger&garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and chopped green chillies. Sauté for a minute.
Add chicken pieces and saute for few minutes then add beaten yoghurt and cook on high heat for seven to eight minutes. Crush kasuri methi in hand and add to the chicken also add three-fourth cup of water.
Cover the pan and cook on low heat for ten minutes(or until cooked). Add garam masala powder, salt and mix properly. Serve hot garnished with chopped fresh coriander leaves.
