It is a traditional deep fried snack from Maharashtra( India) made from sabudana and potatoes. It is a great recipe during fast. Tastes best when served hot with spicy green chutney.

Serves-Makes 12 Fritters/Vada
Ingredients
Oil- To fry
Sabudana/Tapioca- 1 cup
Boiled Potatoes- 2 medium
Peanuts (powdered)-2 tbsp
Sesame Seeds- 1 tsp
Red chilli Powder-1 tsp
Chopped Green chilli-1
Coriander Powder- 1 tsp
Cumin Powder- 1/2 tsp
Chaat masala-1 tsp
Garam Masala-1/2 tsp
Chopped Fresh coriander-few
Salt-To taste
Method
Wash sabudana and soak it in little water for one hour.
Mash potatoes in a bowl and add all the dry masala and drained sabudana along with chopped chilli,coriander and salt.Mix well.
Divide into twelve lemon sized balls, flatten between palms of your hands. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep fry in hot oil till golden brown.
Drain on absorbent paper and serve with spicy green chutney.
