Apple Chutney

This Apple chutney is sweet, tangy with a little heat. Its perfect accompaniment  for any snack or just top it on a slice of bread. Its the best way to use your left over apples.

Difficulty- Easy

Preparation Time-5 min

Cooking Time- 5-10 min



Green Apples- 2

Cumin Seeds- 1/2 tsp

Mustard Seeds- 1/2 tsp

Oil- 1 tbsp

Dry Red Chilli- 2

Curry Leaves- Few (optional)

Sugar- 1-2 tsp

Salt- 1 tsp


Grate apples with the skin  and keep it aside. Keep in mind apples oxidises( changes colour) fast so you have be quick.

Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seed and let it crackle then add cumin and dry red chillies.

Finally add curry leaves and grated apples  stir to combine and cook for couple of minutes.

Now add salt and sugar, mix well. (adjust seasoning  as per taste)

Continue to cook till apple are soft and have some texture.
